Heather Hills Farm Great Taste
Award-winning Marmalade
Launches in Waitrose Scotland
We are delighted to announce the new listing of our Great Taste 2017 award-winning Scottish Marmalade with Heather Honey with Waitrose Scotland this month.Adding to our current 8 listings from our Scottish honeys and preserves range with all 7 of the premium supermarket’s Scottish stores, the 340g jar is our latest addition to their range and builds on our brand’s reputation for producing in ternationally recognised award-winning products that represent the best of Scottish provenance.
Handcrafted in small batches at our family-run honey farm in Perthshire, Scotland, the thin-cut Seville orange preserve has been created in recognition of the time-honoured tradition of marmalademaking in Dundee. Delicately married with their signature Scottish Heather Honey – traditionally won
from wild-flowering purple heather in the Scottish Highlands – it blends the essence of the Spanish orange groves into the late Scottish summer, being described by the Great Taste 2017 panel as having“great honey notes on the nose with a great Seville bitterness and delicate floral quality in the finish”.
Mark Noonan, Managing Director for Heather Hills Farm, commented on the new listing saying:“We are passionate about Scottish provenance and are devoted to both our craft and the honey bee.We are delighted to have won awards for our recipes that pair our signature Scottish Heather Honeywith other key ingredients that allow the marriage of flavours to truly shine. Our Scottish Marmalade with Heather Honey is the most recent addition to our Scottish artisan preserve collection which has been much sought after for their inherent quality and flavours. We are thrilled it has been added our
current product listings with Waitrose Scotland – it’s been a huge hit with our fans and winning a Great Taste 2017 award is a testament to that.”
Tracey Marshall, Local & Regional Buyer for Waitrose added: “We take pride in celebrating the best of Scottish food and the relationship we have established with Heather Hills Farm in the last seven years. Their honeys and preserves are increasingly recognised for their high quality, provenance and
outstanding flavours with sales growing 15 percent in the last year alone. Their Scottish Heather Cut Comb Honey and Scottish Raspberry Jam have proven particularly popular with our customers with sales up by 35 percent and we are confident their Scottish Marmalade with Heather Honey will continue
to add to their success.”
